I Nfw Yoek, July 7. i On reaching New York, President Roosevelt's carriage met Sir Joseph Ward and conveyed him to Sagamore Hill, where he lunched with the , President. Interviewed at Oyster Bay, Bir Joseph Ward referred to New Zealand's surplus wool and kauri gum, regarding which New Zealand was able to negotiate for reciprocity with the United States. Without reference to Britain, he was prepared to take the preliminary steps, and on his departure leave the matter in the hands ot the British Embassy. v Loading New York editors entertamed Sir Joseph at lunch at the Waldorf Hotel. He discussed the question of reciprocity in natural products between America and New Zealand with principal citizens. [Sir Joseph Ward was timed to leave New York on Saturday night for the West.
