(From Our Oivn Correspondent). A man by (lie name of Kapski, a blacksmith wlio is employed on the Egraont line, was arrested on Wednesday. Ivapski, who had been drinking a little, appeared more mad than drunk. Ou being refused drink, he started smashing up the furniture and throwing glasses about, and the while using bad language. He was loeked up in a room, wherein he became furious. Getting hold of a packing ease, he dealt the window a blow, and rleared a way of escape. Constable Bleasol was j in the meantime wired for. The officer I soon made his appearance, and Kapski was bundled into a cab, and conveyed (o the Stratford lock-up. Mr ]!. Collins reports some fine indications of oil on his property. Stray cattle are causing considerable damage here among the cabbage gardens. Mo fence will keep .uem out apparently. It is quite time the ranger awoke and did his duty.
