+ TABANAKI RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the Taranaki Eugby Union was held on Tuesday evening. S. Cleaver (Okaiawa), •• Major" Bourke and M. Riley (Waimate) were reported for rougn play. Notice of tie reports had been sent to the clubs, but no replies had been received. It was decided to deal with the cases on referees'' reports if no defence is made. DATES OF TOITII. The following arrangements were made for the representative matches of the southern tour:— The team will leave on July aitli, ami will play Wangnnui at Wanganui on the same day (extra match). July 2S: Taranaki v. Otago, al Dun .'din. Aug. 2 : Taranaki v. South Canterbury, at Timaru. Aug. t: Tarauaki v. Canterbury, at Christcburch. Aug. 9 : Taranaki v. Manawatu, at New Plymouth. Aug. 15: Taranaki v. Wanganui, at Hawera. Aug 18 : Taranaki v. Auckland, at Auckland. Sept. 0 : Taranaki v. Wellington, at New Plymouth. The Southland Union wrote requesting a Wednesday afternoon match, at a place to be decided upon in the Taranaki province, and asking for a £'3o guarantee. It was decided that oil per cent, of the gross gate takings be granted for a match to be played at Hawera on a Wednesday afternoon, and £3O to be guaranteed if the match were played at New Plymouth on a Thursday afternoon. It was decided that the Taranaki team should* not visit Hawkc's Bay this season. C. Potier and Abbott (Clifton) were reported by Mr Kivell for passing remarks about the referee after the Clifton-laglcwood match. Decided that both players be reprimanded. The charges made by the Clifton Club against Mr Kivell were not substantiated.—Decided that the club be asked to withdraw the charges and apologise to }lr Kivell, and if such apology be not furthcoming by July lOtb, the Clifton Club be disqualified till the apology, lo be approved by the Union, is received. TO-DAY'S MATCHES. Star v. Tukapa, Racecourse Ground, New Plymouth, 3 p.m. Inglewood v. Stratford, at Stratford. Tukapa v. Stratford, Racecourse Ground, New Plymouth, 1.15 p.m. Inglewood A. v. Clifton at Inglewood. Inglewood B. v. Star al Tariki. Star 13. v. Stratford! at Stratford. Owing to the bad state of the Recreation Grounds, the Star A. v. Tukapa match has been post posed.
