At the Waterside Workers' Con. erence, it was resolved that every Jnion appoint small permanent comnitteos with power to investigate and .dvise on all questions of industrial lispute, such committees from time to ime to consult with the Council of the federation, but so that each TJnion nay take prompt action in cases of aforccment of Awards or agreements j ,lso that officers of this Conference be_ mpowored to make representations to lie Government with respect to the ixity of administration shown in the aspection of machinery and gear in onnection with wharf works. A resoation was passed expressing unabated :onfidonco in Mr Tregear, Secretary : or Labour.
