WIDE-WORLD PICTURES.
A SPLENDID COLLECTION. Perhaps _ the finest collection'V animated pictures ever shown in New Plymouth was presented at the Theatre Koyal, on Thursday evening, when tlu Wide-World Pantoscope Company put on the canvas their splendid film* Patrons were able to see something entirely ne#in trick films and were also shown scones of great interest in various parts of tho world. These were projected on to the screen by n good machine which gave no flicker whatever, and which by the aid of a
very powerful electric light threw life-sized and other picturos with remarkable clearness. Amongst the bast pictures were those of tho funeral of tho late Right Hon. K J. Seddon, giving a very true idea of tne procession and showing tho colßu on a gun carriage, drawn by artillery horses. The faces of the folbwer, were easily identified. Eotorua, ChristCiiurch, Switzerland, and many other scenes that weie as instrnotive as they were interesting were viewed, and the general verdict was one of entire satisfaction. All through tho collection was much above the average Many of the humorous films were productive of much mirth. Miss Novello, a fine contralto smgor, o mtributed illustrated songs.
To-night's performance, the second exhibition of tho season, is sure to attract a large house, and we have no limitation in recommending all who can be presont to see this wonderfully life-like entertainment.
