loyal egmont lodge. The quarterly meeting of tho above Lodge was held last evening, N.G. Bro. jtfatheson presiding. Correspondence was received from tho Premier (Hon. W Hall-Jones) acknowledges receipt of lettor of sympathy sent by the Lodgo on the death of the late Premier. A letter of recommendation was granted to P.G. Morrison to enable him to visit other Lodges. An invitation was accepted from the Eoyal Excelsior Lodgo for a social evening on their next Lodge night, Tuesday, July 3rd. Bro. H. H. Ford was elected N.G., Bro. T. L, Brown V.G., and P.G. W. Butler elective secretary, Bro. J, Jones Warden, Bro. E. C. JSteolo Guardian, and P.G.'s W. H. Roberts and G. H. Tempero, supporters to the N.G.
Bro, W, Hooker, {who has just retired from tho position of elective secretary to this Lodge, sorved fortythree terms in that office, He has given up tho post in order to allow new blood a chance, During the whole timo Bro. Hooker has given very careful attention to his duties.
