A summary of the enumerator's figures in connection with the recent sensus has been made by the Registrar, From this it appears that the Colony 'ias a population, exclusire of Maoris, if 890,416, as against 772,719 on the Ust March, 1901. With the Maori population, and the figuros for the Cook an l other islands, the population is anticipated to be shown at 946,000.
