Amongst the mist enterprising of all the new businesses recently established in New Plymouth " The People's Market" deserves pride ef place, Mr George Livingston, who has successfully conducted a wood and coal business in his woll-situatod premises opposite the lied House Hotel for some six months past, has now taken out an auctioneering li;euse, and intends holding regular bi-weekly sales at his rooms, which he has named "Tho People's Market." Wednesday salos will bo held in the af.ernoon, and .Saturday sales at 11.30 in the miming. Every conceivable article can be offered, or purchased, and there will be regular sales of fresh ' meat, fish, poultry, produce, coal and firewood. In fact, everything is to be done to make it a real "People's Market." The premises are well adaptod to the business, there being two otliecs in front of the spacious room now being fitted as a mart. Pens for poultry arc now being oiacted, «ud a rostrum is in, course of construction. Below the mart, on the level of the coal yard, is ample accommodation, should it be required for produce, etc. The first sate takes place on July 4th, and good entries areproniised,
