l. Received 2i, 12.66 a.m. Melbourne, June 24. The Licensing Bill, which is to be ? introduced during the forthcoming 'i session of the State Parliament, consists of one hundred clauses. It proTides for a 10 year's limit for the compensation section of the present Act. License fees are to be increased for compensation purposes. When hotels are closed in a district, the remainder _ are to pay sufficient fees to make up tha compensation. The local option vote is to be taken biennially, but cannot be used to reduce the statutory number daring ten years. At the expiration of that period there will be complete local option, without compensation. Clubs cannot 'sell drink while the hotels are closed.
