In the petition of Alex Miller (Mr I Welsh) for restitution of conjugal [ rights with Florence Miller, it was stated in evidence that the couple wero married in Wangimui in Septcnibor, 1904, and lived together in Palmerstom North five weeks only. Then the wife made frienls with people whom petitioner disappr jved, and defying his wishes, packed he; box and left, taking a situation as geucral servant. Since that the petitioner had repeatedly, in p-srson and by letter, made overtures for a reconciliation, but without success. Ho had suggested to her the advisability of a divoroe, but the respondent had made no reply. The oertiftoate of marriage was not produced, the Eogistrar-General not having forwarded it as asked, probably owing to the dislocation of public business during thj last few days. His Honor adjourned the further hearing to Wellington on Friday week, when a decree nisi will be made.

Paul William Espiner (Mr Fitzherbert) v. Emma Espiner. The petition showed that the parties were married in 1885, and that tho wife had refused to obey an order of the Oourt made in 1 March last for the restitution of con-

jugal rights. Tho petitioner had not seen his wife since the decree was made, although he had a homo for her to return to.

A decree nisi was granted, to be se .led on the filing of an affidavit of service, and to be made absolute in three months.
