TARANAKI 10CKEY CLUB. A cotnm'btee meeting of the Taranaki Jockey Club was held on Friday night, when the following members were present: Col. Ellis, Messrs F. Watson, Goldwater, Alee llill, 0. Samuel. 0. W, Sole, A. 11. Standish and W. C. Weston. Mr Fred Watson was elected chairman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. An fpplieation received from the Hawcra Mounted Rifles for authority to issue emergency riders' corlifieates at their sports on the fourth of July was granted. H. Lind notified that he »'oul(l nol apply for the position of clerk of the course nest 3 ear. A course committee was elected consisting of Messrs 1' Watson and A. Cliff. The suggested alteration in some of the Rules of Racing was left with Mi Samuel to use his own judgment at the Conference.

Two new names were placed on the forfeit list.
