A HOT ENGAGEMENT.
60 REBELS KILLED AFTER GALLANT FIGHT.

Rebels capturqd a convoy of fiye waggons at Mapumulo. Sixty of the Mapamulo Field Force went in pursuit and concentrated on five hundred who were arranging an ambush in a steep donga. Tho rebels made three determined charges, ones within tea yards of the guns After fighting for ninety minutes thoy fled- across the Tugela, leaving sixty killed. The convoy was recaptured.
