GOLD DREDGE ROBBED.
FEB FBESS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, June 20. A robbery of gold is reported from Alexandra. The Gol<leu Beach dredge ceased work as usual at midnight on Saturday, and one of tlio crew remained for two hours and left everything safe. The manager visited tho dredgo after breakfast tn Monday,! and found that tho gold box had been cloanod out. Traces of gold woro found in the steaming-down box, and on the dcok, but it is not known how much tho thiovos secured, Tho dredge is worked by water-power, and is almost tho only one in tho district on which the thief could have washed up.
