BUILDS HIS OWN FUNEEAL PYIIE. PEE PBEBB ASSOCIATION. Masteuton, June 17. George Welch, an old settler of Masterton, committed suieide on Saturday morning by shooting himself, He lighted a tire in his paddock, and laid himself down on tho wood and fired the shot, When found by his son the body was in a much charred condition. Deceased has been in a depressed state of mind since his wifo died fourteen years ago. At the inquest to-day the jury returned a verdict that deceased committed suicide while temporarily insane.
