Messrs Tickers and Stevens report there was only a moderate entry of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday, There are more enquiries for young stock which showed an improvement on late prices. Calves made from 6s to 13s (id, 15 to 18months £1 lis to £1 Bs, store cows 25s to 445, spring calvers 40s to 60s, springers £3 10s to £4 10s, lambs 7s 6d, culled ewes 7s 7d to 8s 6d.
LONDON MARKET- ADVICE. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cables from London, under date of the 7th inst. Frozen Meat: Active demand for rn'i. -ml narket firm. Poordeinand for uiutton. but any change in prico is iu favour of sellers, Poor demand for beef, andthe market for fore-quarters is unfavorably affected, owing to the proVingeuwarm weather. Prices are, Wevi'rd shade firmer.

New Zealand prime erossbred mutton: Canterbury, he.iw Sid, light 3}d; North Island mult hi, heavy -S|d, light 3}d. Prime ox beef, fores 2|d, hinds SidButter : Market firm ; better for distant than spot. The Copenhagen official quotation is higher by 2 kroners (about 2s 3d) per cwt The total import of butter into I he United Kingdom for the week ending tfie 2nd inst. amounted to 7y,oooewt., as compared with 57,'iOOi'n t. for [the corresponding week of 1905.
