On the ove of the mobolisation, a German South African liner appeared two days before time an 1 anchored off Dover, close to where Admiral "\Yinslowe was mobolising forty warships. The vessel landed a number of German Naval oflleers and torpedo seamen, on the pretext of laying a wreath on the graves of Grosser and Kusfiirst, comrades. The action 1' as aroused much comment.
