THE ASSOCIATION'S REPLY. Received 12, 5.36 p.m. Syiwey, June 12. The secretary of the Association, replying to Noble, points out that the Board of Control represents cricket interests in Australia, evidenced by the fact that with tlis exception of South Australia, all tho governiug bodies cricket are represented thereon Noble himself so far recognised its contrjl of international cricket as to assist in clouting the New South Wales' representative. Since the inception of the Association, no cricket had been played without the consent of the Association. The players at the time of signing tho agreement with the Melboumo Club, were aware that the Board would refuse to recognise an English team unless it came out at the invitation of the Board, and they would be disqualified if they played against the team. He asks, if the agreement is so clear and above board, why the p!a3'ors kept it secrot and refuse to produce it.
