The following extraordinary Gazette was published to-day :'lt is with deep regret I have (o announce the death of the Right Hon. Richard John ScdSon P.C., Prime Minister of New Zealand, on board the S.S. Oswestry Grange at sea, on tho evening of Sunday, tho 10th day of June, at 23 minutes past six o'clock, fifteen hours after leaving Sydney for New Zealand. The officers of Ihe Government sorvico throughout the colony are relieved from duty for to-dny and to-morrow, and only urgent public' business will be transacted until th» day of the funeral, when the whole of the Public offices throughout tho Colony, will be closed."
