At the Wellington Stock Exchange on Friday sales of Moturoa petroleum shares at £l)2, preferential £l2 ss, were reported. Professor Easterlicld is engaged at the present time in analysing samples of Taranaki petroleum supplied to him, and his report is expected lo be ready on Saturday next, after which date the prospectus of the Taranaki Petroleum Company, Ltd., will be ready for cir dilation. Applicants for shares in the Taranaki Oil and Freehold Co. will be pleased to learn that the provisional directors are already in communication with an expert borer, whose services will in all probability be secured.
