ARMY CONTRACTS.
INSPECTION OP AMERICAN MEAT. PREVENTION OF SWEATING. Received 8, 10.20 p.m. London, June 8. The Rt. Hon. R. B Haldauce assured the House of Commons that h<had sent a picked officer to America to inspect meat before it was despatched under contract, and also to cxaminf the methods of manufacfure.
Referring to Army clothing Mi Haldane stated the Government wa? thoroughly determined to prevem "sweating" by contractors.
