TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB.

At the adjournod annual meeting °f the 'l'aranaki Jockey Club, Mr Sarnu was voted to tho chair in the abscnc* 5 of Mr James Paul (the President) owing to illness.

The following officers were elected.: President, Mr G. T. Bayly; vicepresident, Captain Mace; treasurer, Colonol Ellis; judgo, Mr A. W. Budge; clerk of scales, Mr Ab. Goldwater; stewards, Messrs 0. Samuel, Nowton King, Jas. Paul. W. L. Fitzkerbert, C. H. Weston, C. M. Lepper, Alec Hill, A. B. Standish, F. Watson, W. Newman, G Grey, and T. Elliott; committee, officers ex-officio, and Messrs Newton King, Oliver Samuel, W. L. Fitzlierbcrt, 1?. Watson, W. C. Weston, C M, Lepper, Aloe Hill, A. R. Standish, Ab. Goldwater, A. Cliff, and 0, W. Sole; honorary surgeon, Dr. Fookes; auditor, Mr T. 0. Kelsey. A vacancy was left on the committee, to bo filled by eomo " live " man yet to be selected.

Voics of thanks wero passed to the retiring officers, the names of Mr Jameß Paul (President) and Colonel Ellis (treasurer) being specially mentioned ; to Mr Farrar and thqse associated with him m providing ambulance facilities tyt the race meetings: and to the chair, man.
