EGMONT LICENSING COMMITTEE.
The annual meeting of the Egmont Licensing Committee was held at Waitara on Thursday. There were present 011 the Bench' Mr T. Hutchison, S.M. (chairman), Messrs I!. H. Pigott, C. H. Stott, A. M. Thomson, D. A. McDonald and G, H. Stubbs. Renewals were granted: Bridge Hotel, VV aitara; Masonic Hotel, Waitara; Urcnui Hotel, Urenui j Waitara Hotel, Waitara; Railway Hotel, Inglewcod. Transfers were granted: Tariki Hotel from Samuel Morrison to Herbert Florence Cameron; Mt. Egmont Hotel, Midhirst, from Thomas Gooch to Cathcrino Bennett, granted 011 condition that various alterations and renewals fof buildings are carried out within one month; Inglewood Hotel from E. Kennedy to H. Shotlamlor. A packet liconse was granted to tlie Northern Steamship Company for the s.s. Kir Ora (Captain ,T. C, Blacklock). The police report in all instances was satisfactory, 110 complaints being lodged against the conduct of tho houses. The licensee of the Urcnui Hotel is about to thoroughly renovate and paint the house, erect a new verandah and add a bath room,
