It is reported that Miss Kin<| will not fulfil hor northern engagements. " Advance " states that her owner is thinking of entering the marc for Victorian Grand Nationals.
The Wanganui correspondent of the " Auckland Weekly News " states that Telford is acting as private trainer to Mr Bremer, of Whenuakurj.. This, I understand, is incorrect, as H. Eva, who was in town last week for a few days' holiday, informed me that he still holds that position, and that he has some very promising material to work on.
E. Putt, of Oakura, informs me that he has a promising colt by Malatua, whicli ho intends shortly putting into training.
Eurus was very lucky to win the Wanganui Steeplechase. The gelding was too sore to be brought out again on the second day. Slow Tom has been sold to Mr J. E. MacKenzie, in whose interest ho is running at the Dunedin meeting. Dear Dolly was sold at Wanganui last week for 23 guineas. F. D. Jones has not been long in securing a winning mount since his arrival in England, as it is stated that he scored two wins at the Salisbury meeting.
"Advance" says: "It is evident that handicappers in England have a wholesome dread of the ex-New Zcalander, Noctuiforni. He was weighted at lOst (top weight) in the Marlborough Handicap, of 400 sovs., a seven furlong race, at the Newbury meeting last month."
