The general, working accouut showed a surplus of £8,918 2s od. Mr G. G. Stead in moving (he adoption of the report and balann> sheet, which «vre adopted, said in reference to the totalisator, that the opponents of racing were unable to advance any evidence in support of their allegations that racing and totalisator were prejudicing the welfare of tbe community.
