Received 31, la.ru. Sydney, May 30. Tkr.ec colonial seamen belonging to [[.M.S. Challenger, Hannan (Jnvercargill), Fi«tree (Sydney), and Hopkins (Queensland), were court-martialled aboard the Challenger. The men took a boat belonging to tlioi? vessel, at night, and escaped a shore. Hannum was also charged with stealing shipmates' clothes. Several bjats from tbe warship went in pursuit but failed to capture the men, who were subsequently arrested a-shore. They pleaded guilty and were .-eulencod to six months.
