Harry Walter Worley, who had "pleaded guilty at Oamaru to embexaling 8149 from his employer, was sentenced I to twelve months. Mr Justice Cooper deolined to probation in the two last caw. Wanoanoi, May 80. At the Bupreme Court to-day, BopoamaPohe was found not gufltyona charge of sheep stealing. His seven-teen-year-old son, who was charged conjointly with him, was found guilty and remanded <till this morning. Iktbboajoiu, May 80. At the Supreme Court two criminal cases were on the list. YeuChoywai convicted of wounding Chen Boy another oelestral, at Waikaiai'and was sentencod to two years' imprisonment Accused, an old man, had been grievously assaulted by Chen Boy some y«"« ago, and recovered £26 damages, but this he had never been atfle to i jollect, and the matter preyed on his *■ mmd.
