Tlie Chamber of Manufacturers dosire, in any proposals for reciprocity with New Zealand, that there should bo a reduction in duty of fifty per cent, on dried fruits, currents, raisins, preserved fruits; tint olive oil and wiue should be reduced up to thirty five per cent i spirit, grape brandy be reduced to eleven shillings a gilkm, and that frost grapes should be allowed to bo imported into New Zealand, if accompanied by a certifuate that they are free from disease.

Mr Seddon favorably replied to the deputation on tho matter.
