Hawera easily defoatcd Eltham nt Hawera on Saturday by 26 to 8. The game between Waimate and Patea, which took place at Manaia, was very even, the home team oarrying off the honors to the extent of 6 to 3. A tough struggle resulted from the meeting of the Okaiawa and Opunake representatives, on the former's ground, Okaiawa getting home by a converted try to nil. In the junior grades, Waimate B defeated Okaiawa 11. by 15 to 3, Waimate A also winning from Patea 11. In the third grade, Patea 111. succumbed to Okaiawa 111. by 17 to nil.
