ANDREW BLACK.

THE FAMOUS BARITONE. It will be learned with great interest ( that Mr Andrew Black and liis concert I party consisting of Miss Ethel Sinclair, i violiuste, Herr Adolplic Borschke, . pianist, and Mr Horace Gleeson, accompanist, will give a concert liero on .Juno 5. Messrs J. and N. Taits reputation as concert agents is widely known, and it is a well-known fact that they only handle the very best of artists. Mr Black came to New Zoaland in April and commenced giving concerts in Duncdin. To other than musicians we think we are safe in saying that he was practically unknown, but it only needed one appearance for this great arlist and his company, to make themselves longed for in all the cities of the colony. His successes from south to north arc remarkable, and the large Wellington Town Hall was crowded to the very doors at his last appearance in that city. His repertoire is perhaps as extensive as that celebrated singer, Mdlle. Dolores, and like her he sings ever) thing, 110 matter he it operatic work, oratorio, or ballad, with equal easo and simplicity. The fact that he is absolutely at home in Scotch songs should be sufficient to fill the house. Mr Black will journey from Auckland on Monday, 4th June, after having spent a few days' rest at Rotorua. Mr Ethel Sinclair, the young violinistc of the company caused a great sensation by her capital play, ing in Wellington and the oth;-r cities. She is a Victorian and had the good fortune to win the Clarke scholarship which entitles the winner free tuition in the London Royal College of Music for a term of four years. With this splendid training one can imagine what class ot a player Miss Sinclair must needs be. Herr Adolplic Borschke, the solo pianist of the company is a remarkably striking person, and has all the true genius' attractions. The Box Plan will opon at the Dresden ' on Friday, June Ist, at 10 a.m.
