The greatest good-will existed between New Zealand and Australia. The latter had been very kind to him, giving him Mrs Seddon. He ha from the time he arrived in Australia peAuless and unknown, always experienced the greatest kindness. In the afternoon a meeting of the I New Zealand Exhibition Commissioners was h?ld. Matters of detail were discussed, especially steamer accommodation and fares. Mr David Mills stated the Union Company proposed to put on the Maheno, and Capt. Webb said that Huddart Parker's would utilise the Biverina for the Exhibition traffic. Mr Sedi ion, with the approval of the Executive Commissioier, stated that excursion rates were essential. There ought to be a concession of at least fifty per centum on ordinary fares. Mr Mills and Capt. Webb promised to place the proposal before their respective Companies and give a reply on - Thursday.
