CHINESE CUSTO S' CONTROL.
THE BRITISH NOTE. London, May 21. France supports Great Britain in the latter's Note insisting on the danger caused to .Chinese national credit by any tampering with the customs. Germany first condemned and then approved the edict, aud has now reverted to her first attitude, owing to representations by German bondholders of Anglo-German loans, the security for which is the customs.
