At the inqujst on Elizabeth Roy who died after being knocked down by a tram car, the jury returned a verdict of accidontal death, and added a rider recommending tho 6rection of an eloctric light, instead of a gas lamp, in the locality.. Tho evidence showed tha' deceased, Who was addicted to drink, had not got on well with her husband since he had taken out a prohibition order. She left home on Sunday morning, Her husband tried to induee her to go home yostorday aftor. noon, but loft her whon she attompted to scratch him. Dannkvihke, May 21. Yesterday a boy named Huntley, whilo out shooting in tho bush near Dannevirke, accidentally shot himself through the right foot. Leslie Arthur Young, aged five years, was run over by a cart on the Mount Roskill Boai on Saturday morning. The driver of the curt was apparently adjusting a sack, and did not notice the boy crossing the road until he was almost on him, and then it was too late, thj wheel passing oyer the boy s neck, and killing him almost j instantly.
