A. BHABP ENCOUNTER. MOJECTED GENERAL HIDING. Beceivcd 21,10.18 p.m. Pibtebhabitzbubo, May 21. Colonels McKenzie's, Mansell's and Barker's columns juactioned at Cetewayo's grave. Barker's column fought a sharp action at Mhala Hill inflicting numerous casualties and capturing 800 cattle and many goats. Special precautions were taken to avoid desecrating Cetewayo's grave. One of Siganandi's mdunas was sent to State that Signandi and Ndabamazie were anxious to surrender. j
Practically all of Siganandi's country lias been captured, with the herds and women, though most of the men escaped to the bush. A Christian native, after travelling through Zululand, informed the Government that the natives in several parts mean to rise simultaneously when the crops have been reaped.
