TARANAKI DISTRICT LAW SOCIETY.
Tlio annual general' meeting of mombers was held at. the Courthouse on Friday evening, the President (Mr Samuel) and thirty members being present or represented. Tlio minutes of tlie last general meeting having been read and confirmed, and the accounts read, discussed and adopted, ■Mr Samuel addressed the meeting, commenting on matters of interest to the profession, and explaining the additions made to the law library, and, generally, the conduct of the affairs of the soo,ety during the past year Considerable discussion followed, and several resolutions were passed with reftrence to the drafting of now rules and the management of the library and the affairs of the Society. Mr Samuel was re-elected President, and Messrs Grey, Hutchen, Kerr and Roy members of the council. Messrs Quilliam and A. E. Standish were elected as hoa. treasurer and hon. auditor respectively. A cordial vote of thanks to the President and the Council closed the proceedings.
