At a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board Mr Jas, C. Dromgool, B.Ss., at present in the Stratford District High School, was appointed instructor in agriculture, Bewley and Griffiths will hold their first sale of wool, hides, and tallow on Wednesday, 6th June, and not on May 23rd, as previously advertised.

To-morrow, Saturday evening, marks the close of J. H. Parker's jewellery sale. The object has been achieved, and the stock has been greatly reduced. But there are bargains yet—bargains in plenty.
