SLAVERY AMONGST INDIANS
London, May 10. The " Times" Ottawa correspondent I states that there is a report that slavery exists amongst the India*?, Indian girls being sold at auction by their relative* in Northern British Columbia. This has been confirmed in one instance, where a son offered his mother lor sale as a slave. The Department of Indian Affiirs has taken drastie jneasures to stop the practices.
