Kite at Tadmor has been destroyed by fire. Mrs .Kite and her son were the only occupants at the time, and the former was awakened by something falling, Finding the room full of smoke she rushed to her son's room, where the flames were breaking through alongside his bed. Having aroused him they escaped, nothing being saved. The insurance was only 1i175 and the loss is heavy.
