Mr Arscott, the first lessee of the Central Coffee Palace, New Plymouth, died in Auckland last week, agod 70 years.
On Monday afternoon a very pretty wedding was solemnised at the St. Patrick's Church, Greyniouth, when Frances Mary, youngest daughter of Mr E. E. Waterton, was united in holy wedlock to Edward Vincent, only son of Inspector Wilson, of Greymouth, says tho Grey Eiver " Argus." The happy ceremony was performed by the Ecv. Fathor Taylor, assistod by the Eev. Dean Carew. The bride wore a handsome light tweed travelling dress, with a white hat to match. She was attended by Miss Kate McManus (cousin of tho bridegroom), of Auckland, as bridesmaid. Miss McManus wore a cream and white silk dress, with picture hat. The bridegroom was attonded by Mr E. McDonnell as best man. Tho bridegroom's present to the bride was a massive Celtic gold cross j and chain; a similar present to the bridesmaid. Mr and Mrs Wilson arrived in New Plymouth by the express train on Tuesday evening, Mr Wilson being in tho employment of Mr W. Eraser, the well known chemist,
