THE ANTHRAX OUTBREAK.

PER MESS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, May 9. Mr Gilruth, Government Veterinarian reports that the disease which has attacked cattle at Bombay, Auckland district, is true anthrax. The Agricultural Department is ascertaining where tho bonodust used to fertilise tho land on which the cattle have been grazing came from. Several cargoes of bones have been imported from Sydney under the certificate of the New Zealand Governmeut sterilising export in New South Wales, but none havo been brought from India sinco tho sterilising regulations came into forco.
