A DOMESTIC TRAGEDY.
SUICIDE AND ATTEMPTED MURDER. Received 9,1.15 p.m. Sydney, May 8. William Brooks, wlin had jnst been released after serving a lengthy sentence, visitad his wife, who was residing in an hotel at Manly, and shot her. He then ghat himself and was drawing to fire on the police when he dropped dead from the self inflicted wound. The woman is in a critical condition.
