PARAPARA IRON COMPANY'S LEASE.
FEB PJBSSS ASSOCIATION. Kelson, May 7, At a Chamber of Commerce meeting to-night a resolution was adopted expressing the hope that the Government and Parliament would see their way to eliminate clause 14 in tho Parapara Iron lease, which enables tho Government to purchase back tho iron lease with machinery, etc., as tho clause is interfering with the establishment of a groat industry, which would benefit the wholo Colony. It was pointed out that tho iron deposits at Parapara are so oxtonsivo that outsido tho loase the Government could establish works or allow several other companies to do so, and thus thcro was no danger of a monopoly.
