A meeting of the Tarafiaki Rugby was held at Stratford on Friday even, ing last. Present: Mr A. Bailey (in the chair), Messrs Malone, H. A. Wilson, T. Buchanan, A. Humphries and P. Skoglund. It was decided to ask the various clubs to erect fences around their grounds, to prevent the encroachment of the public duriug matches. The misconduct of certain, ' barrackers " in the Stratford-New Plymouth train on Thursday evening, was enquired into, and it was decided to ask the Tukapa Club for an explanation regarding the matter, and to nrnko othor investigation.

The matter of the spectators crowding and excessively barracking on the Stratford ground was also enquired into, and after hearing the evidence of the President of the Union and other officials who were present, it was decided to do nothing in the matter, the belief being expressed that the reports had been somewhat overdrawn.

Mr Buchanan suggested that a smalt committee be set up to draw up suggestions for a guarantee to obtain money from the New Zealand Union. He would suggest that £3OO be borrowed to hi' repaid in six years at the rate of £SO a year. They could enrrv out their ordinary tours. Mr Humphries said the New Zealand Union would not lend for to.iring purposes. The money was to be spent in grounds, etc. The President said if they could get money at 2A per cent, they should not miss the opportunity. He moved that a sub-committeo be set up to go into the question of ways and means.

The motion was seconded by Mr Malone and carried, and the followinc committee was setup: the President and Messrs Humphries, Buchanan, and Slcoglund.
