PERSONAL.

Mr G. E. Ashton is [temporarily succeeding Mr Oldham as manager for the Tarhnaki branch of L. D. Nathan and Co. Mr and Mrs Oldham proceed to Stratford next week for a short stay. Mr Oldham, whose health is still very indifferent, intends to take up his residence in the Auckland district.

Mr J. B. Taylor, more familiar as " Jock " Taylor, of Toko, is staying in New Plymouth for a day or two. His system suffered a very serious shock iu an accident a few months ago at Stratford, aud he is now enjoying quiet and rest. Mr Taylor was formerly a member of the Taranaki Education Board.

Mr W. Frascr, of Now Plymouth, leaves for Christehurch and Dunedin next week on a holiday trip.
