The placing is as follows •. —Leger's White Leghorns 1,373, Brook's do. 1,241, A. and P, Association do. 1,190, Miss Shaw s do. 1,188, Hodgson's do. 1,173, Ashforth's Silver Wyandottes 1,103, Murphy's Black Orpingtons 1,143, Hockey do. I,l'Mi Priddlo White leghorns and Miss Edwards do. (tie) 1,132. Chbistchobch, May 1. The New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egg-laying competition at Lincoin College concluded on Sunday. The results for the year are as follows: H. Hawke's Silver Wyandottes 1280, J Jl. Shaw's Brown Leghorn! 1002, B E M. Evans' Silver Wyandottes 99Q 'j. Mann's White Wyandottes 983*, A. Tyree's Black Orpingtons 923, A. it Price's BufE Orpingtons 903, A. H. Bristed's Buff Orpingtons 9UO. The otlier pens ranged down to 557, which wa? the lowest. The second competition which comprises 100 pens will staft to-morrow.
