On Thursday night at 7 o'clock the np.goods train collided with some slip ri\ils placed on the cattle-stops at Matarara crossing. The train pulled up, and a portion of a rail was found obtruding from the cowcatcher. The driver of the down train states ho passed over an obstruction at the same spot.
