PERSONAL.
Mr P. O'fiea has withdrawn his application for the position of first assistant at the New Plymouth Central School. The remaining applicants arc Mr A. J. Harding, second assistant at the school, and Messrs K. Mcllroy and H. Eobson. On Wednesday, at St. Mary's Church, New Plymouth, Mr William Bailey, of Moturoa, and Miss E. Wil- i son, of Inglcwood, were united in the bonds of holy matrimony. Kev. F. G. Evans officiated. After the ceremony, a sumptuous wedding breakfast was sorvod at the residence of the bridgegroom's parents, and a large number of guests were entertained. liev. Mr Harvey, tho newly-appoint-cd minister to the Now Plymouth Primitivc Methodist circuit, is expected to arrive in New Ply nouth in a few days. He will be welcomed at Fitzrov next Thursday, and will preach the anniversary services in the Queen-street Church on the first Sunday in May.
