MB FBBBB ASSOCIATION. Thahbs, April 27. Attention is being paid to the vast area of Fiako lands, to be known as the Hauraki Plains. Soveral thousand acres are available for settlement. The total area it nearly a quarter cf a million acres. Experiments conducted by the Government on these lands in planting flax plants are highly successful, the bushes looking splendid. The Government is letting a contract for outting a Urge oanal, over a mile long to drain, a portion of the plain.
