BELL BLOCK.
(FROM 01*11 OWN rORBE*POSPBNT. Tlie annual meeting of householders was held on Monday night, to receive the report of the School Committee, and elect a new committee for the ensuing year. About fifteen householders were present. The secretary read the balance-sheet, showing a balance of £l3 10s, being £5 less than the credit balance at the beginning of the year. The secretary drew the attention of the meeting to the shameful neglect of the parents in not attending these meetings. Although there were 130 children attending the three schools under this committee, only three parents were present —one from 801 l Block, two from Upland road, and none from Egmont road. The following committee were elected: Messrs A. Marsh, J. 8.Hi11,. J. H. Street, C. Hoskin, E. C. King, G. S. Giddy, and John Martin'. Mr Marsh was re-elected chairman, and Mr 11. secretary.
