FATAL STABBING AFFRAY.
PEE FBBSS ASSOCIATION, Wellington. April 25. The death of John Prestridgc, aged 63, who succumbed at the hospital to injuries received in a stabbing affray on tho night of April sth, was the subject of a Coroner's inquiry. Thomas Henry Goodger, who was present in custody, is -charged with causing Ircsrridge s death. The ]ur / found P al death resulted from septic poisoning of wounds caused by Goodger. It is alleged that during an altercation,! in wluch deceased accused Goodger of leading young Prestridge to drink,' Goodger struck the old man several times, and stabbed him with a pocket knife. Prestridge was taken to the hospital and attended to. Ho left the institution, but was sont back in a few days. He had received a wound two inches deep in the left armpit, and it wasjihis which led to his death, I
