BOWLING.
AN EXHIBITION TOUENA. MENT. FEB PBBSS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, April 19. At a meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Bowling Association tonight, it was decided to hold an exhibition tournament in Christchurch on January 14th, 1907. Tho resolutions recently adopted by the executive were passed after considerable discussion. These provided for the tournament being managed by the Naw Zealand .Association, with a sub-committee from the Northern Association, and delegates were appointed to a conference to confer with the delegates from the Northern Association and Canterbury centre to arrange details. Delegates suggested that the programme should provide for rink matches, competitors to bo devided into eight sections of eight rinks, and each riiik in a section to play every other rink in its section, doubles and singles to be played on the sudden death principle, and if time permit, consolation doubles to be played, the Association to issue an invitation to bowlers generally throughout Australasia. Dr. Thomas and the Canterbury centre are to be asked to name any special persons or clubs to bo invited.
